N.J. to overhaul how it tracks police force following NJ.com investigation

BS! is when those with “ENTRUSTED AUTHORITY” abuse their power and the laws have TWO sets of laws: One for the Average America and One for those in “Authoritative Positions!”

January 11 when Deputy Philip Montesi  wasn’t on an emergency when the accident happened and was driving 21 mph above the speed limit.

He was driving 66 miles per hour, 21 miles per hour over the posted 45 speed limit when teenager Josiah Pinner was hit by Deputy Philip Montesi .  Source1

Hypocrisy and double standards:

“Due to the fact that Deputy Montesi’s operation of his vehicle was not during the course of an emergency operation, his actions and conduct are held to the same standards required of any citizen who would have been driving northbound on North Florida Avenue that evening,” a sheriff’s office statement explained. “Based on the facts of this case, there was no probable cause to pursue criminal charges against Deputy Montesi.”  Source

Hypocrisy of it:

He wasn’t on an emergency call and “still” made the choice to speed!  He’s held to the “standards required of any citizen…” The hypocrisy is Deputy Montesi knows the laws for his area AND BROKE  the standard required law that would be expected of “any citizen.”  So, if he’s expected to follow the law as “any citizen” and WAS NOT on an emergency call(knowing this); “any citizen” who was speeding would be brought upon homicide charges because “any citizen” knew he/she was speeding 21 m.p.h. above the set 45 m.p.h. speed limit.

Double standard:

Deputy Montesi has a history of 3 crashes. One in 2016 and two in 2017 deemed “unavoidable.”  Even if, Josiah Pinner and teenager he was walking with outside of a crosswalk and without a walk signal is collaborated by 4 witnesses;  it does not NEGATE that the Deputy BROKE THE LAW OF THE SET SPEED LIMIT AND WAS NOT ON AN EMERGENCY CALL!  SO, the life a teenager was snuffed out NEEDLESSLY and a family suffers the lose of a son they will never see come walking thru their front door again.  If, “any citizen” were in this mess he/she would be brought upon charges. This is a hell of a slippery slope in which our society has let go over the edge for decades.  “Any citizen” would be accused of speeding above the set speed limit,  wreck-less driving and taking of an innocent life.

This is a case I bring to readers because there is a problem with double standards when it comes to people entrusted with authority and decide to abuse those powers.  My intent “IS NOT”  to disrespect law enforcement or create division on any level.  It is bring “AWARENESS” to the fore front and for those who are in charge of these agencies to be MORE proactive in uncovering these “abuses of authority!”  Pure and simple.

There never will be “TRUST” on any level between law enforcement and communities until the corrupt are held accountable and TOTAL transparency of such findings are put into the public domain.  I have raised my family to respect law enforcement and o bide by the laws in our community.  It’s a hell of “TESTIMONY”  when my family and ALL of America see this kind of abuse of “Entrusted Authority”  is lead by “Hypocrisy and Double Standards!”

(Disclaimer:  I “do not” in any shape, form or fashion claim to be or acknowledge to be scholarly in this subject matter/laws that would govern such a tragic happening.  I am using “COMMON SENSE” to make an observation as a private citizen.
